Senior Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, demonstrate advanced technical expertise in bookkeeping, and possess the ability to mentor team members towards competency in their roles. This position requires a proven ability to manage accounts independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and handle various financial transactions with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Competency
Mentor team members to develop key competencies in bookkeeping, accounting software, and financial management.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of debit and credit relationships and financial concepts, including prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, depreciation, cost of goods sold, loans, leases, and lines of credit.
Transactional Competency
Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Manage invoicing processes, including timely and accurate billing, and vendor management.
Oversee payroll operations to ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
Apply knowledge of sales tax and property tax regulations to maintain compliance.
Independent Prioritization
Lead account management responsibilities, including evaluating priorities, organizing workloads, delegation of responsibilities, and ensuring the optimal use of time and resources.
Experience and Skills
5+ years of experience in a full-charge bookkeeping or similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero, with the ability to optimize their use for various financial processes.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and support process improvements effectively.
Experience setting priorities independently and managing multiple accounts with efficiency.
